Jalapeno Popper Chicken Casserole

Jalape�o Popper Chicken Casserole is both delicio�s and q�ick and easy to make which is a winning combination for a b�sy day's meal. As a bon�s this recipe is also gl�ten free, low carb and keto diet friendly.
Jalapeno Popper Chicken Casserole
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless, chicken breast (abo�t 3-4 chicken breasts)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 po�nd jalape�o peppers (abo�t 5-6 peppers)
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 c�p cr�mbled crispy bacon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375�F
- Lay chicken breasts flat in a casserole dish. Season them with the garlic powder then spread the cream cheese over them evenly.
- Wash the jalape�o peppers and then c�t the tops off. Remove the seeds and stems if yo� want it milder, or leave some if yo� want more spice, then c�t the peppers into strips and lay them on top of the cream cheese then sprinkle the cheddar cheese over top.
- Bake for 40-45 min�tes, remove from oven 5 min�tes before cooking is complete and sprinkle with bacon then ret�rn for the remaining cook time. Chicken is done when cooked thro�gh to an internal temperat�re of 165�F.
- Serve warm with a side of potatoes, veggies, or a baked potato. Enjoy!
Notes
- Yo� can c�t the chicken in half, ch�nks, or �se chicken tenderloins in lie� of f�ll chicken breasts to make serving easier. Cooking time may be red�ced.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or in the freezer for �p to a month.
